Arctic explorers complete expedition successfully
22 September 2011 – The two-man Danish exploration team – ‘Minus Zero/No Limits’ – co-sponsored by Telespazio’s Mobile Satellite Services business in the UK, has successfully returned home after a 600km expedition along the Northwest Passage in Canada.

8 August 2011 – Telespazio’s Mobile Satellite Services business in the UK is co-sponsoring a two-man team of Danish explorers who are travelling 600km along the Northwest Passage, the northern most part of Canada, in a single kayak.

23 May 2011 – VEGA Space Ltd (VEGA), has signed a contract with the African Union Commission (AUC) for the provision of consultancy services to carry out a Feasibility Study on the creation of an African Space Agency.

2 February 2011 – VEGA Space Ltd has been awarded a Frame Contract for the Provision of Operations Engineering Services (commonly known as OD8) by ESOC for the eighth consecutive period.
VEGA staff awarded ESA commendations
13 December 2010 – VEGA staff have been involved in two commendations – one from ESA in recognition of their efforts and achievements on the Herschel Planck mission, the other by Europlanet for involvement in the Mars Visual Monitoring Camera programme.
VEGA Consults on Vietnamese Earth Observation Satellite
9 December 2010 – VEGA, a Finmeccanica company, has won a contract to provide supervisory consultancy for procurement of one of Vietnam’s Earth observation satellites, namely Vietnam Natural Resource, Environment and Disaster Satellite (VNREDSat-1).

8 November 2010 – A VEGA-led consortium has recently been awarded the contract for the development and deployment of the Core Payload Data Ground Segment for the European Space Agency’s Sentinel-3 satellites.
VEGA plays role in rectifying GOCE anomaly
4 October 2010 – VEGA staff based at ESA’s European Space Operations Centre (ESOC), have played a key role in rectifying a fault on the Gravity field and steady-state Ocean Circulation Explorer (GOCE) mission.
